
Recommended Lawn Services
Below are some of the services that we recommend getting the most out of your lawn this coming summer. Summers aren't very long in Alaska, and we aim to get your lawn looking better than your neighbors in a timely manner.

Dethatching

This service should be done almost every year in Alaska. We recommend this each spring.

Five main reasons to dethatch your lawn; Improves water and nutrient absorption, prevents disease, enhances root development, improves lawn appearance and prepares lawn for fertilization.

Plug Aeration

This service should be done at least once every other year. We recommend it in Early Spring or Late Fall. Plug or spike aerating your lawn has many benefits for maintaining a healthy lawn. It is also great for reviving unhealthy spots, patches and even larger areas of you lawn. Will either be a pull behind or front mounted unit.

Five main reasons to aerate your lawn; it improves root growth, enhances water penetration, boosts fertilizer efficiency, reduces thatch build up and improves the soils structure.

Fertilizing

This service is recommended each spring at least once a year. Should be done after aerating, dethatching and cleanups have been conducted.

We use Scotts Fertilizer/Lawn Food or equivalent products. Prices for this service may vary. The service includes both the materials and the application.

For optimal lawn health, we recommend fertilizing Mid-Late May, Mid-Summer around the first week of July and again in late September.

Spring Clean Ups

This service should be done each spring.

It includes blowing down entire lawn of leaves, sticks and debris and making the lawn ready for mowing.

Use of backpack and handheld blowers.

Recommend dethatching in conjunction with this service.
